Montroi Artisan Collective: Alexandria Coe

During a journey through Greece, the Montroi team met British-born artist Alexandria Coe, whose practice explores the human form through drawing, painting and an evolving range of materials and techniques.

For Alexandria, art is a form of communication. A way of expressing emotion, experience and the relationship with the world beyond what can always be put into words.

Her work often explores the female form as a place of freedom and expression, while experimentation remains central to her process. Moving between paper, canvas, silk, clay and architectural surfaces, she allows the unpredictability of each material to become part of the work.

Each piece is part of an ongoing exploration, drawn, studied and developed as Alexandria continues to learn from her own practice and push it somewhere new.
