Guests gather to celebrate the opening of the photography exhibition ‘Latitudes of Reverence’, of Mauricio de la Garza Clariond; known as Mal de Mar. An architect, designer, photographer, writer, traveler and contributor of Montroi.
The exhibition is composed of pictures taken over five years of travels around the world, divided into two themes: Natura and Materia. What results is a sense of constant motion, an insistent shifting of view. In the distance, the horizon flickers, ebbs and flows.
“Architecture is everything to me. More than space, scale or mass, it’s the way I see things around me” – Mal de Mar.
‘Latitudes of Reverence’ finds its place at the Montroi studio, an on going exhibition in the Dubai Design District.
‘Montroi is committed to building a true nomad story, traveling the world looking for craftsmanship and manufacturing beautiful pieces where pride and care in work is still placed highly.’
